- The key blade is removed by pushing a release button.
Replacement steps (summarised from the manual)
- Push the release button and pull the key blade out.
- Twist a thin coin under the tab hidden behind the key blade head to remove the battery cover.
- Insert a screwdriver (or suitable tool) and carefully remove the battery.
- Install the new battery with the + facing upward.
- Reinstall the battery housing cover and install the key blade.
Key programming: Per the manufacturer, replacing the battery does not erase the key programming.
