Who we are
Fob Battery Match (fobbatterymatch.com) is an independent website that helps people identify the correct battery for their car key fob. You can contact us at hello@fobbatterymatch.com.
Information processed when you visit
Like any website, the servers that deliver our pages receive technical information needed to send them to your browser, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. Our hosting provider (Netlify) may keep this in short-lived server logs for security and reliability. We don't use it to identify you or build profiles.
The vehicle finder runs in your browser. Your make, model and year selections are not sent to us or stored, apart from the ordinary request for the small data file for the model you choose.
Cookies and similar technologies
We currently set no cookies and use no local storage for tracking.
Analytics
Not currently used. If we add analytics (for example Google Analytics), we will update this section first, describing what is collected, the provider, retention, and how to opt out, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it.
Advertising
Not currently used. If we add advertising (for example Google AdSense), we will update this section first, including any use of cookies for personalised ads and how to control them.
Consent management
Not currently used, because no non-essential cookies are set. A consent tool will be added before any analytics or advertising that requires consent.
Affiliate links
Some links to Amazon are affiliate links. When you click one you leave our site; Amazon may set its own cookies to attribute a purchase to us. We don't receive your name, address or order details. See ouraffiliate disclosure and Amazon's privacy notice.
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and keep a record of the correspondence.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or US state privacy laws) you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us at hello@fobbatterymatch.com and we will respond within the time the law requires.
Changes
We will update this page, and the date above, before introducing any new data collection.
