Open the battery compartment as described in your owner's manual.
Read the code printed on the old battery (for example CR2032 or CR2450) and buy exactly that code.
Note which way the old battery faces before you remove it.

Keep coin batteries away from children. A swallowed coin cell can cause severe internal burns within hours. If you think a battery has been swallowed or placed in the body, get medical help immediately.
If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the key and keep it away from children.
Hold the new battery by its edges and avoid touching the circuit board or contacts.
Replace only with the same type, and recycle the old battery according to local rules.

Check the battery orientation and that the cover is fully closed.
Make sure the new battery is the exact code listed above — similar sizes are not interchangeable.
If the buttons still do not work, contact a franchised dealer. We do not cover key programming or security systems.
